Event Reservation and Ticketing Policy

Effective Date: October 06, 2024

At OMS2 powered by Commonly, we aim to provide a seamless and transparent ticketing experience for both event creators and attendees. This Event Reservation and Ticketing Policy outlines how reservations, ticketing, and payments work on our platform.

1. Event Reservation Process

  • When an event is created, attendees can reserve tickets before the event details (such as the date and venue) are finalized.
  • No upfront charges are made at the time of reservation. Instead, you reserve your spot and only pay once the event meets its ticket sales threshold.
  • If the event reaches the required number of reservations within the specified time frame, the reservation will be confirmed, and your payment will be processed.

2. Payment Processing

  • Payments are processed through Stripe, a secure and trusted third-party payment processor.
  • Once the reservation threshold is met, Stripe will automatically charge your payment method. You will receive a confirmation email with the finalized event details, including the date and venue.
  • If the event does not meet its ticket threshold by the deadline, no charges will be made, and the event will be cancelled.

3. Event Confirmation

  • An event is confirmed only when the minimum number of ticket reservations is reached before the deadline set by the event creator.
  • After confirmation, attendees will receive all relevant information regarding the event's logistics, such as time, venue, and any additional instructions..

4. Event Cancellation and Refunds

  • If an event fails to meet the required reservation number by the deadline, it will be automatically canceled, and no charges will be applied to attendees.
  • In the case of an event being canceled after ticket confirmation due to unforeseen circumstances, attendees will be notified, and refunds will be issued in accordance with the platform's cancellation terms.

5. Modifications to Reservations

  • Attendees are allowed to modify their reservations (such as changing ticket quantities) before the event confirmation deadline, as long as the event has not yet reached its reservation goal.
  • No modifications can be made once payment has been processed, except in cases where the event creator permits it.

6. Referral Program and Ticket Splitting

  • Event creators can offer a Ticket Split option, where users who refer tickets via unique links earn a commission for each successful ticket sale through their referral.
  • Users who participate in this program will receive payouts based on the terms set by the event creator and can track their earnings through their user dashboard.

7. Sponsorship and Advertising

  • Event creators may attract sponsors to fund their events through the platform. Sponsorships will be confirmed as part of the event details upon finalization.
  • Sponsors are required to adhere to the terms set by the event creator and the platform, ensuring compliance with all advertising guidelines.

8. User Responsibilities

  • It is the responsibility of attendees to ensure their payment information is accurate and up to date. Failure to process payment may result in the loss of a reserved ticket.
  • Event creators are responsible for delivering the event as promised once it has been confirmed, ensuring that attendees receive the experience as outlined during the reservation period.
