Referral Program & Revenue Sharing Policy

The Referral Program on OMS2 powered by Commonly allows both event creators and users to benefit from a transparent and mutually rewarding system. This Revenue Sharing Policy outlines how event creators can offer referral incentives and how users can earn money by promoting events through the Ticket Split Referral Program.
1. Dispute Resolution Process
- The Ticket Split Referral Program is designed to help event creators expand their event reach by leveraging the networks of their attendees and attendees. Event creators can offer a portion of ticket sales to users who successfully refer others to purchase tickets using their unique referral link.
2. How It Works for Event Creators
- Set the Referral Commission: Event creators have the flexibility to set the amount they are willing to offer per ticket sold through a referral. This could be a fixed amount (e.g., $2 per ticket) or a percentage of the ticket price.
- Track Referrals: Creators can monitor ticket sales and referral performance through the event dashboard, where they can view how many tickets were sold via referral links.
- Pay Referrals: The referral commission is automatically deducted from the ticket sale and sent to the user who referred the buyer. The remaining revenue, after platform and payment processing fees, is transferred to the event creator.
3. How It Works for Users
- Get a Unique Link: Once you register for an event or express interest in promoting it, you will receive a unique referral link to share with your network via social media, email, or direct messages.
- Earn Commission: For every ticket sold through your referral link, you will earn the commission set by the event creator. The more tickets sold through your link, the more you earn.
- Track Your Earnings: You can track your referral performance and earnings through your user dashboard. Commissions will be calculated in real time and can be withdrawn once a minimum payout threshold (if applicable) is reached.
4. Revenue Sharing for Event Creators
- For every successful ticket sale, 8% platform fees plus payment processing fees are deducted. The remaining amount is split between the event creator and any referral earnings.
- Event creators will receive 100% of the ticket sale revenue, minus the platform, payment, and referral fees.
- Ticket Price: $50
- Platform Fee (8%): $4.00
- Payment Processing Fee (2.9% + $0.30): $1.75
- Referral Commission: $2.00
Total Fees: $7.75
Revenue for Event Creator: $42.25 per ticket sold.
5. Referral Payouts
- Referral earnings are automatically tracked, and payouts are made through the platform once the event is confirmed and ticket sales are finalized.
- Payouts to users are processed through the platform, and payments are typically issued within 7-10 business days after the event is completed.
- Users must meet any minimum payout thresholds before requesting a withdrawal.
6. Referral Program Guidelines
- No Spamming or Fraudulent Behavior: Users must promote events ethically and responsibly. Any form of spamming, fraudulent promotion, or abuse of the referral system is strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension or disqualification from the referral program.
- Fair Use Policy: Event creators must set reasonable referral commissions in line with the event's financial goals and maintain fair use of the referral program.
7. Cancellation and Refund Impact
- In the case of an event cancellation or refund, any referral commissions earned for that event will be voided, and no payouts will be made.
- If an attendee requests a refund for their ticket, the corresponding referral commission for that ticket will also be reversed.
8. Legal Compliance
- Both event creators and users must comply with all applicable laws, including but not limited to taxation and reporting obligations. Users are responsible for reporting their referral income in accordance with local tax laws.
