Refunds and Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: October 06, 2024

At OMS2 powered by Commonly, we are committed to ensuring a smooth and transparent experience for both event creators and attendees. This Refunds and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms for event cancellations, refunds, and how payments are handled.

1. Event Cancellation by the Organizer

  • If an event is canceled by the organizer before reaching the ticket reservation threshold, no charges will be made, and attendees will be notified immediately. Since payments are only processed once the reservation threshold is met, there will be no refunds necessary.
  • If an event is canceled after confirmation, attendees will receive a full refund for the ticket price, excluding any payment processing fees which may not be refundable, depending on the payment processor's policy.

2. Cancellation Due to Insufficient Reservations

  • If an event does not meet the required number of ticket reservations by the set deadline, it will be automatically canceled.
  • In such cases, attendees will not be charged, and the event will be removed from the platform. You will receive a notification about the event's cancellation.

3. Refund Process

  • For events that are canceled after ticket purchases are confirmed, refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days after the cancellation notice is sent.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at the time of ticket reservation. Please allow additional time for your bank or payment provider to process the refund, which may vary depending on your financial institution.

4. Non-Refundable Fees

  • - In some cases, payment processing fees (usually 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction) may not be refundable. This is determined by the payment processor, Stripe, which handles all transactions on the OMS2 platform. We encourage attendees to review Stripe's terms for further details on non-refundable fees.
  • The 8% platform fee is fully refundable if the event is canceled before it is confirmed. However, once an event is confirmed, any platform fees are non-refundable unless the event is canceled by the organizer.

5. Ticket Holder Cancellations

  • If you decide to cancel your reservation before the event is confirmed, you may modify or cancel your reservation without any charges being applied.
  • Once the event has been confirmed and your payment has been processed, no cancellations or refunds will be permitted unless the event itself is canceled or postponed by the organizer.

6. Event Postponements

In the event of an event postponement, attendees will be given the option to either:

  • Retain their tickets for the rescheduled date, or
  • Request a full refund if the new date is not convenient for them.
  • Event organizers are responsible for notifying attendees of any postponements and must provide clear instructions on how to request a refund if needed.

7. Refund Disputes

  • If you believe you are entitled to a refund that has not been processed, please contact us at [Support Email] with your event details and proof of payment. Our team will review your request and respond within 5-7 business days.

8. Force Majeure

  • If an event is canceled or postponed due to circumstances beyond the control of the event organizer (e.g., natural disasters, government regulations, pandemics), refunds will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, depending on the event's policies and any costs already incurred.
